1. We had a great time in science with Mr. Warner. He told some really cool stories about HUGE magnets in real life.

2. In math, we learned scientific notation. Many different careers use scientific notation to display REALLY big numbers. Tomorrow, the Study Link 5.9 side of worksheet 5.9 is DUE.

3. We had a very productive Literacy Lounge. I got the chance to meet with our new literacy groups. We are very excited to start some new books. The whole class seemed to enjoy listening to Joey Pigza Swallowed the Key by Jack Gantos.... "Let me get back to you on that!"

4. We also discussed our word study about homonyms. A homonym is two words that SOUND the SAME but have different meanings. I am very impressed with all of your terrific homonym examples!
