1. In math, we finished up our Unit 5 test and started Unit 6. We are excited to practice multiplication and division story problems. We realized that multiplication and division are very similar. Some of us find it helpful to say 2 times WHAT is 16, instead of 16 divided by 2 is 8. Parenthesis (DO THIS FIRST) homework is due tomorrow morning.

2. We noticed we had 8 birds at our bird feeder at the SAME TIME. We stayed very still and wrote down some detailed observations in our science notebooks.

3. Mrs. Sateren and I co-taught a lesson about "first person" narratives. We were only working with a small group, but everyone in class seemed to want to participate. We had a great time reading "A. Wolfs", The True Story of the Three Little Pigs. I am looking forward to posting some first person student work at the end of this week. We loved listening to S's story about the g.e.e.k squad! Our cursive spelling practice is due on Wednesday.

4. We worked on writing. Tomorrow we will edit our second grade biographies!
